LIGHT FOR THE YOUTH

Seyeon is a company manager and lives with her daughter Mirae. Continuous failure makes her depressed. June, a high school student, wants to be a photographer but works at Seyeon’s call center as an intern. One day he disappears leaving a suicide note, then a series of mails are delivered to Seyeon.

Shin Su-won’s fourth film explores employment issues and gender discrimination in the office for the younger generation of Koreans. To what extent is an employee willing to sacrifice humanity for money? Shin Su-won asks this question through the construction of a neat and realistic story.
